Guillaume and Ludovic Hauller, the 8th generation of the HAULLER Family, offer an ultimate wine collection, heritage of know-how since 1776.
Since 1776, the Hauller family has worked closely with the viticulture industry. Initially, it was through its barrel making activity. The rigor and precision of the family’s cooperage was renowned in Alsace over 5 generations. The Hauller cooperage (on the photo) was one of the major companies in Dambach-La- Ville in the 1920’s.
The Hauller cooperage (on the photo) was one of the major companies in Dambach-La- Vill in the 1920’s.
In the 1970’s, Louis Hauller decided to diversify the family’s business activity, so he took overhis neighbour’s and cousin’s vineyard plots. At this time, viticulture activity was becoming more and more important in the family’s business, while cooperage was struggling in a very competitive environment.
Louis Hauller won his bet. He developed the viticulture activities throughout France with his wife Marie-Thérèse and bequeathed his company to his elder son Claude, in 1997.
Claude managed to broaden the clientele and increase sales, thanks to developing partnerships that enabled the company to grow, meet high quality targets and create conditions to ensure the future of the company.
In 2015, the arrival of the 8 th generation, with Ludovic and Guillaume Hauller, gave a new impetus to the domain. Since this year, a new chapter has been written by the domain’s work team and the four members of the family.
Guillaume was the first of the two brothers to join the work team for the 2014’s harvest. Before that, he had received a technical training in Rouffach in Alsace, then in Beaune in Burgundy. After a few work experiences, he wanted to join the family domain, in order to bring his rigor and his passion for the well-done job.
He’s passionate about the vine work, and the mosaic of terroirs in Alsace, and spends hours in the vineyard thinking about new techniques. He’s willing to deepen his knowledge of the 150 parcels of the domain.
His brother, Ludovic, joins the family domain in January 2015 after an experience in California, in order to work on the business development of the company, now named: FAMILLE HAULLER.
Ludovic has graduated the Burgundy School of Business and obtained a master’s degree in International Business of Wines & Spirits (CIVS). He believes in the potential of Alsace wines as one of the best white wines in the world, and share his communicative passion around the globe.
When they joined the family estate, the two brothers wanted to bring a more modern vision to the Alsace wines, by selecting with care the best vineyard parcels in order to create exceptional and unique wines.
From this, the HAULLER Frères collection was born, in tribute to the eponymous cooperage settled by their ancestors in the core of Dambach-La- Ville, 4 generations earlier.
A selection of their favourites, treasures drawn in unique places, out of time, here is what Ludovic and Guillaume HAULLER wanted to convey through this collection.
Passionate about wine and gastronomy, they serve this collection of 1776 bottles on the best tables of the world, and will tell you all about it with emotion in their cellar in Dambach- La-Ville.
With a neat packaging and a unique number for each of the 1776 bottles, you have the ultimate combination: purity, elegance and rarity.
These 4 references embody the revisited classicism.

It is a wine that can improve in bottle over several decades.
Appearance : Deep yellow in colour, with bright gold tinges that emphasize its characteristic intensity.
Nose : The bouquet is elegant and racy, with delicate fruity aromas (lemon, grapefruit, pear, stewed fruits…) and flowers (white flowers). As it evolves, this Riesling Signature is unique thanks to the complexity of the terroir, it develops mineral aromas (gun powder, flint, mint, etc.).
Palate : This dry wine displays great vertical structure. It is characterized by intense freshness that can be appreciated from start to finish, whilst the mid-palate is defined by opulence and richness. The body, both racy and delicately fruity, makes this wine an ideal partner for haute cuisine.
Riesling is an excellent food wine. In addition to pairing naturally with traditional Alsace dishes such as Choucroute and pork-based dishes, it has a natural affinity with fish and shellfish, such as scallops, almost iodene flavours of the sea. It is also delicious with poultry, white meats and even goat’s cheese.
This Riesling comes from a unique terroir of volcanic stones and sandstones. He is complex and deep. Produced in a very limited quantity, he is the alliance of finesse and power.

Appearance : Pinot Gris has a lovely yellow-gold colour.
Nose : Intense with great aromatic complexity, this Pinot Gris often develops distinctive smoky notes with a smoky aftertaste. This wine benefits from decanting a few moments before being served, in order for its complexity to be fully appreciated.
Mouth : This is a noble wine that offers great substance, an admirable, lively roundness that tends toward a fresh acidity. It is the balanced intensity that makes it so attractive.
This unusual Pinot Gris is a wine whose strong personality pairs with richly flavoured dishes.
Game, veal, pork and poultry, particularly when served with rich sauces, roasts, kidneys, mushrooms, risotto, polenta, etc. make this an ideal autumn pairing wine. Because of its balance between richness and crisp freshness, it is delicious with both sweet and sour flavour combinations. Great pairing can be done with a cheese platter.
This Pinot Gris has a strong personality and a touch of freshness.
He is very complex with spice and almonds aromas, and a little bit of smoky flavours.
This wine comes from a very nice block, at the foot from the Saint Sebastien Chapel in Dambach la Ville.

This Pinot Noir Les Barriques is a deep and elegant wine revealing flavours of cherry and blackberry. A touch of oak flavours which gives more complexity, and well balanced tannins.
Pinot Noir - F - is dry, delicately fruity and is an excellent addition to rustic buffets and picnics featuring charcuterie, dear or grilled meats.
You can also have it with red meats like beef and lamb.
This Pinot Noir - F - has been created with an extreme precision.
His granit soil gives him finesse and length whereas his ageing and yields gives him power and richness. Un grand vin.
Exposed South-East at 300m altitude, a very poor soil which oblige the vines to work really hard.

A fine Riesling, with unique complexity and depth.
I would pair this Riesling with a cream dish with candied egg, a zabaglione of smoky milk, or even with a capon with yellow wine.
Elegant. Complex. Polyvalent.
I see this wine with an assortment of cheeses, or with a calf sweetbread along with an Alsace asparagus crisp.
A great Pinot Noir, worthy of the greatest. Sublte, Complex, Delicate.
I’d enjoy this wine with a Grand Veneur venison filet, or a roast pigeon on a bed of candied shallots.
A 100% Chardonnay Alsace Crémant, non-dosed, proudly represents the greatest Crémants.
I would pair this Crémant with raw thick flesh fish, like a tartar of arctic char with dill and a horseradish sauce, or even with a cold-smoked (a.k.a. gravlax) Alsace trout.
with Jamie Cullum, Please don't stop the music
This Riesling is planted on a unique terroir composed of sandstone and volcanic sediments, which makes it both powerful and delicate. This wine is illustrated by this cover from Jamie Cullum, who mixes his music style and the hip-hop influences of Rihanna. A pure wonder.
with The Verve, Bitter Sweet Symphony
Every drop of this Pinot Gris Signature thrills me. It is planted on a hillside of Dambach-La- Ville, and reminds me of my childhood’s family walks. Both delicate and intense, this song from The Verve, who was originally recorded by the Rolling Stones, sounds like a hymn, mixing nostalgia and depth.
with les Rolling Stones, You Can't Always Get What You Want
This Pinot Noir is from Frankstein Grand Cru, and we work hard to make this wine with this standard of quality. Unfortunately, it is not allowed to be considered Frankstein Grand Cru. It is long in the palate and requires time to make itself “heard”. Like this song from the Rolling Stones, it expresses melancholia and hope to go farer. I suggest the live version of the song.
with Verdi, Nabucco Act 3 « Va pensiero »
Our Cremant d’Alsace Brut Zero takes you on a journey as soon as you taste it and close your eyes. It is 100% made from Chardonnay. It is vivid, complex and sharp. This 3 rd act of the opera from Verdi expresses precision in every single voice, and awakens your senses with its catchy melody. It is a perfect example of precision that doesn’t leave you indifferent.
